Dual Credit Courses are designed to assist students with completing their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). It gives them a unique opportunity to explore college programs within the college environment.
Colleges are an access point to career-focused education. By experiencing a college course while still in high school, students get first-hand knowledge of the free services and supports colleges offer. Plus students can gain valuable insights to their future career options and gain transfer credits to college program(s) they are interested in for their future.
Over 4,000 students take Dual Credit programming in the GTA each year. Over 80% of those students were at risk of not completing their OSSD and go on to study full-time programs at College.
Students are supported throughout the process, as well as learning from industry-experienced professors and interacting with other college students, Dual Credit students will have access to peer mentoring and advising.

Through the support of two provincial ministries, all aspects of the programming are free for students. The costs of the courses, course materials, transportation and supplies needed for individual courses are covered.
